Abby Carlson is a community-based counselor and an outpatient counselor intern. She has a background in psychology and social work in her undergraduate studies at James Madison University. Now, she pursues her master’s in social work at VCU and soon will begin her LCSW licensure process. Abby has special interests in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a general emphasis on the clinician/client therapeutic relationship. Abby identifies with holistic and humanistic approaches to counseling.
