RAS – Interrupt Racism

CAVA Racial Awareness & Sensitivity Training Program

CAVA Racial Awareness & Sensitivity Training Program

Participants will be lead through an experiential and didactic learning experience to dismantle individual, institutional and systemic racism. Highlight how explicit and implicit bias’s and racially abusive behavior and interpersonal transactions are deeply rooted in whiteness, white superiority and white supremacy which has negatively impacted our daily functioning as a society. We will help participants understand how Racialized Trauma has impacted and continues to impact service delivery in the social welfare, healthcare, corrections, education and mental health organizations. We will create common language, attitudes, values and beliefs which will foster a path for white, black and people of color to heal together to better authentically serve one another and our communities.

RMCG and CAVA’s goal is to traverse the map towards racial healing and responsibility – Oblivion, aware, sensitive and competent with culturally aware and sensitive practices which are interruptive and pervasive enough to illicit authentic and perpetual change in individuals, organizations and communities.
