REAL TALK: Racially and Culturally Trauma Informed Group for Teenage Males- In Person

September 9 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

$360.00

Male Teens have been burdened by society’s challenges of living under duress and scrutiny on many levels.  Socially, familial, and interpersonal relationships, all while trying to negotiate their basic needs in life: To love and be loved, trust others while being a trustworthy person, and to take in admiration and appreciation when taught or told you may not be good enough. Manage themselves in response to threats related to envy and internalized devaluation.

CAVA is creating a comfortable, safe space for male teens to accept support and lead more productive, fulfilling lives.

Come join us this coming fall for a didactic experiential experience with Ra-Twoine Fields, PhD, Student Intern with SayBook University, California.

Ra-Twoine Fields, forged in Jersey City, NJ., has made Richmond, VA his second home. After graduating from the University of Richmond with majors in Psychology, Philosophy, and Creative Writing, Ra-Twoine embarked on an interdisciplinary journey marked by lived experience, academia, community immersion, cultural relativity, and authentic transformative justice. His work organically weaves together mental health, art, gun-violence intervention, poetry, and more across various channels. He is currently completing his PhD in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on integrating harm reduction and addressing gun violence. Through this mission, he has worked directly with organizations such as the Department of Justice, the Department of Criminal Justice Services, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Gun Violence Prevention Office of Richmond, VA, the Youth Justice Coalition, and more.

Ra-Twoine currently serves as the owner of the Holistic Agency, the founding owner and lead curator of Southside Contemporary Art Gallery, the owner of the creative agency Crenius, and a publishing poet. Hisethos centers birthing stories and shifting narratives
