Taylor Scarce believes that with compassion, empathy, knowledge, and support, I can help you and your family reach your desired goals. Taylor strives to meet each client and family where they are and assist them in reaching where they would like to be. Taylor embraces human connection and believes it is at the core of happiness. Taylor has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has spent the last 5 plus years providing community-based services to families in/around Richmond and its surrounding counties. She has significant experience working with other providers to ensure holistic, comprehensive care for each of my clients. Taylor utilizes a variety of techniques to ensure that each client/family receives unique, individualized care tailored specifically to their needs. Her techniques include Play therapy, Art therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, and mindfulness activities. It is her goal to build on the strengths you and your family already have, to empower you to reach your desired goals. Taylor has experience working with a variety of mental health diagnoses, have completed training in working with children who have experienced chronic, acute trauma, and have experience providing treatment related to substance use/abuse. Taylor will do everything in my power to provide genuine, competent, and direct care to your family if you allow me the opportunity.
